The Guardian reported that SC Department of Corrections had a botched execution. The firing squad missed their target. Goddamn it!
These shooters were "good guys" that were trained. Purportedly they are expert marksmen (or markswomen, even better, markspeople).
Why does are society have this infatuation with an instrument of destruction?
I just do not understand.
Why don't we have an infatuation for human capital development (HCD)? I know, it costs money and not all of it is well spent. Neither is marketing dollars, but it is necessary.
If we focused on HCD, I suspect we would have better problems with which to handle and less to worry about killing someone.
